Don’t Drink … Gamble!
If you enjoy a cocktail occasionally, keep your cash out of the casino if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Empty your purse, your billfold, and keep all money, plastic credit and cheques back at the hotel. Take only the cash you anticipate to spend on refreshments, tipping and only the pocket change you anticipate to lose and leave the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not at all. Just realistic. You may well have a win after a drunken night out with your comrades and be lucky enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin craps table. Don’t forget that adventure because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you always drink and bet. The pair simply do not mix.
Keeping your moola out of the casino is a little bit dramatic, but preventative actions for excessive behavior is required. If you wager to profit, then don’t drink alcohol and gamble. If you are able to afford to be wasteful with your $$$$ nary a worry, then consume all the complimentary booze your stomach can handle, but don’t take plastic credit and chequebooks to toss into the mix of going after squanderings after your drunken head squanders every little thing!
Let me to carry this one step further. Don’t consume alcohol and then hop on the web to bet in your best-liked casino either. I love to drink from the comfort of my apartment, but since I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards in close proximity, I can’t drink and bet.
Why? Even though I don’t drink alcohol a lot, when I drink alcohol, it is definitely adequate to blur my judgment. I wager, so I do not drink alcohol when wagering. If you are a drinker, don’t wager when you do. Both make for a decimating, and crazy, drink.
